Summer Is Not Done In The East, Get Your Heels Out.

August 25th, 2009 by Thaddeus
tor-night1

Well, enough of the chit chat, I know everyone from Ontario and further East is dying to know some cool stuff to do this summer. If you didn’t know, because for some silly reason you didn’t read my post yesterday, I gave you some things to do before summer is out. Because there are so many, I did from BC to Manitoba yesterday, and am doing the rest today. The view from Panorama (pictured above) is just one of the great attractions in the rest of Canada.

Summer’s Not Over Out West…..Yeeeehhhaaaaa

August 24th, 2009 by Thaddeus

You Can be a cowgirl in BC!

You can be a cowgirl in BC!

Summer holidays for many of you is coming to an end. I know, it blows. I’m sure you have either had a blast this summer or had the worst summer of your life. This recession thing really stole a lot of the limelight and could have potentially had you strapped for cash for the last three to four months. The good news is that it’s over/ winding down and the effects are starting to ware off. Hopefully you have a bit of your hard earned money left to do some things before your holidays are over.

If you have been listening to us all summer like a good boy or girl you definitely will have some cash. Don’t come and tell me you have nothing to do, because here are some things (list of 50) to do in this beautiful country we call Canada (broken down by province). I will give you some favorites from British Columbia to Manitoba (including the territories) today. Tomorrow you will get Ontario to the Prairies. I would never have thought of doing some of these things and neither would you if it wasn’t for me. Aren’t you glad you know me now? And hey, if you see something fun in a nearby province, make a quick trip with some friends and have a blast.

To Be Cheap Or Lazy, That Is The Question.

August 20th, 2009 by Thaddeus

I rather being lazy and cheap!

I rather be lazy and cheap!

Hey guys, so today I thought I would give you some tips on things that I do around the house to either be lazy or to be to cheap. I don’t know about you guys, but I love being lazy and I love being cheap (hopefully no potential girlfriends or bosses read this post) and I thought I would share some of my ingenious activities with you. So take the couple minutes to read this article because it will save you even more money and time then you ever thought of….. or at least some.

When it comes to eating or making pasta I always eat right out of the cooking pot instead of putting it on or plate or in a bowl. I mean I have no one to impress and it definitely saves me on the dishes. A friend of mine likes to take his shirt off while eating because he always seems to get that little stain on his white shirt, which means new shirts or more laundry. Eeek. I do suggest however that you bring a shirt if you go to a buffet, along with a container (which I advise to be an old margarine or butter container). I know you’ve heard it all before but try to sneak some calamari home for tomorrow’s lunch.

Beat The Heat!

August 19th, 2009 by Thaddeus

This video is pretty self explanatory.  Watch it! I made it just for you, my friends, to help you out with beating the heat.  Please drop a comment and help me out with my heat problems. I found this article, 12 Wacky Ways to Beat the Heat by Mark Moring, check it out, it didn’t help me but it’s quite funny! As well, let me know if you found a way to water proof your laptop!

Just kidding, but seriously.

Bored? Yes, Bored.

August 18th, 2009 by Thaddeus

boredSo I am a person who can never seem to think of something to do.  I am constantly bored because well I’m young, everything sucks, is boring and all I want to do is chill right? Well being bored gets boring after a while. Does that even make sense? Whatever.  So I went through some magazines, watched some commercials, did some research on the Internet and found there were a lot of things to do but all had the same common problem.  They cost money. But wait, thanks to Heather Scheiwe, a college student, I have found 21 ways to have fun for absolutely free.  Here are some of my favorites.

I Want You!

August 13th, 2009 by Thaddeus
I want to interview you.

I want to interview you.

I want you. Really, I do. This whole week and throughout the summer I, along with the other blog members, have been interviewing different people on different areas. I know you must be getting jealous by now that all these people are getting featured in interviews on here and becoming famous. Well, here is your chance. I want you to email me telling me you want to be interviewed. That’s it! Whether your Mr. or Mrs. Smith (Angelina and Brad feel free as well), Bill Gates, or just a regular person in this world, email me and say “Thaddeus, I want to be interviewed and featured on the site”. I will! Yes all my fans finally have a chance to be questioned by me and featured. So what are you waiting for email me at bolton.thaddeus@yahoo.com now. Who knows where you will end up once you get your voice heard on the site.

Now I know Mandi and Jere probably want to be interviewed since they are behind the scenes so often, and I know George loves to talk to me, but unfortunately it’s only for the fans this time. Hey D.J., tell that super hot girl team you volunteer for to email me as well!

Just kidding, but seriously.

Volunteers Are Vital

August 12th, 2009 by Thaddeus

Here’s a little interview with the Toronto Eagles Soccer Club on the topic of volunteering.  They explain how volunteering is extremely important to operate a non-profit organization.  Volunteering helps give back to the community, what the community once gave you. Even though sports is used as an example, you can still volunteer practically anywhere.  Check out the video!

Let me know where you guys volunteer or where you think volunteers are needed.  I moved today, and could use a volunteer to help me unpack.  Any takers?

Just kidding, but seriously.

The Gift Therapist: The Gift of Three (Part 2)

August 11th, 2009 by Thaddeus

Let the interview continue…

I always have a hard time finding the perfect gift for someone, how can I make sure I get the perfect gift? Say for under $30. (Damn Recession)

Here’s a great way to improve your gift giving success by 100%. Rather than thinking of a gift (noun) to give, think of what experience you would like to give the recipient instead. For example, would you like your best friend to have a crazy night out with the guys? If so, build a theme gift around that! Pick a central gift that embodies that theme and pick two other smaller gifts to tie the theme together. This is my “patented” gift of three strategy. Save even more cash by making one of the smaller gifts yourself or have other friends chip in to make the gift even more fabulous! Doesn’t that make gift giving more fun? For a quick tutorial on the gift of three, check out my video above (look up)…….or visit my blog for seasonal gift suggestions.

The Gift Therapist: An Interview From A Far (Part 1)

August 10th, 2009 by Thaddeus
Jennifer Carota is The Gift Therapist

Jennifer Carota is The Gift Therapist

Every time I have to get a gift for someone close to me I go on a huge treasure hunt to find that perfect gift, but, I struggle greatly. I’m so bad that I thought I would seek out a therapist and was lucky enough to find one without the $200/hr price tag. Jennifer Carota, also known as The Gift Thereapist, provides all the help any of you need when it comes to gifts (she can even narrow it down to specific months). She’s so good  I am featuring a two part interview with the second part following tomorrow. Check it out, you’ll never struggle with gift giving again.

Stressed? Try Traditional Medicine!

August 6th, 2009 by Thaddeus

I get stressed sometimes and I know you do too, its natural. During the recession more people have been getting more stressed more of the time. Well I was lucky enough to get an interview with the Institute of Traditional Medicine and they give some tips on services/what you can do to handle stress. Check it out, and if you can’t make it down there, check out your local clinic or institution. Let me know how it goes! I fell in love with the idea and the massages the very first time I went. It’s cheap as hell!

I’m not kidding, seriously.
