In light of our departure, we thought we’d give you time to read/watch some of the posts that you may have missed. Although our work here is technically done, there is still much to benefit from the site. Recession or no recession, managing your finances and not spending money frivolously are important skills to have so use this blog as a resource for an economical self-transformation.
I’ve rounded up the troops to give you our personal faves from the blog. It’s your chance to play catch-up.
But first, a musical interlude:
Here’s what your lovely blogger pals think you should check out before we check out: (more…)
I’m writing you this because I think our relationship has run its course. I also really need more space, I don’t like feeling like an elephant in a telephone booth. I hope you understand. I don’t know how to break it to you, but I had to find something else. You know what they say: out with the old, in with the new! The wise Righteous Brothers wrote a song called “You’ve lost that lovin’ feeling.” You might want to listen to it a few times, because I’ve lost that loving feeling.
Sometimes you need to take things a bit slower, and just have fun. Unfortunately, this relationship is becoming too serious for my tastes. It’s not you, it’s me (and the recession ending). Really. It may be a typical line, but it’s true: we just aren’t meant for each other. I may love you, but I’m definitely not in love with you. You’re gonna have to learn to accept that. I’m not sure whether we can see each other again, or if I will blog in the future but, for now at least, I definitely need my own space. I think you get the idea: this relationship is over.
Wish it could have worked out, but please leave me one last comment below to remember you by. The people here who wrote this for me really captured what I was feeling. I mean every word.
Well now that you fully understand that the recession is over, now what do you do? Well, unlike those of you who hated the recession because you had no job, I had a particular job speaking about the recession. So guess what? Recession is over and I must move on. Yes tomorrow will be my, as well as the others, last post.On the bright side, we have learned so much from the recession and it is time to dust ourselves off, take a nice shower (now that you can afford hot water) and move on with our lives. We have learned some great lessons that we can take with us for the future of mankind to build a greater society and a greater world…. or at least buy those expensive pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing for four months.Articlesbase.com has an article giving some lessons and tips on what to do from now on, so when I leave you, you will still be able to survive.
Well Professor Dealzmodo is back at it again. I know I know this is probably my fourth time talking about him, but you gotta love Sean Fallon. This guy just knows how to save money, and not only knows; he explains it in very good detail. My hat goes off to him.Well it seems like he wants to help us one last time. He explains now that school is coming/here you should be a savy tech shopper.I definitely like my tech gear but it can be expensive sometimes don’t you agree?Well not only does he help you cut corners, he helps you be green too. We never want to forget about saving our environment while trying to get to the next level of War Craft (I have never played it, but isn’t that how it works?).He has created an article linking all of his articles that can help you save this fall.I have touched on one or two before but this is definitely a must read for anyone who loves technology loves to save the environment, or loves to save money. I’m sure that covers all of us.
Well I am a bit tired right now as I spent my Labor Day doing a car wash fundraiser for my varsity soccer team.Non-profit organization or sports teams require fundraising in order to pay for things like equipment, travel, and other expenses. We all know this. We also know there usually are more then enough people willing to volunteer and donate their time to raise the funds necessary to keep the operation operating.Throughout the years I have been involved in many different fundraising events and have learned a few things to help me in the future.Since you have so much free time now that you cannot find a job, go with some of these ideas to your local organization. Always remember that many companies are willing to donate items to help with a cause and to help promote their business, people will volunteer, and the more unique your event is the more appealing it will be.Here are some events worth running:
C u soon, ttyl, lol, are all phrases that we are familiar with especially in today’s society where text messaging consumes a lot of our phone use. Â In the past year or so, there has been a growing concern about texting and talking while driving. Â Unfortunately we still here about accidents and I even see people texting and talking while on the road. Â The Toronto Star published an article about this very popular YouTube video that a british police department created to turn kids away from texting while driving. Â After watching it I was completely in shock and don’t plan on texting while driving anytime soon. Â Regardless of if you’re in Britain or in Canada, texting while driving can be one of the most dangerous things you can do. Â I know your phone is more important then your wallet or even food, but please check out this video and think the next time you decide to text while you are driving. If it is an emergency or time sensitive just pull over to the side of the road. Please. The video is a bit graphic but nothing from a Quentin Tarantino movie. Comments are always appreciated…I would love to here your thoughts.

It gives some help that is not found in an instructions manual. Check it out!
I in no way am an alcoholic and do not support drinking more then you can handle. I do realize however there are times that a few more cases of beer get opened then expected, and a few more credit card limits are stretched. This is no surprise to anyone but alcohol can be mighty expensive sometimes. Well folks, Mr. Sean Fallon (a.k.a. Prof. Dealzmodo) is back with some tips and advice on what you need to make your own beer or wine. And guess what, it’s only a fraction of the cost. Recession or no recession I want to save money…don’t you?

Tell me how your experience of V-Fest went…who was your favorite… did any craziness happened… let everyone know! Â It’s just a short video of looking back on my experience on V-Fest, including why someoone licked my foot.
As you already know it’s back to school time, and we have been focusing some of our time on getting ready for it.Well, whether you are in high school, college, or university back to school shopping can get a bit pricier then expected and you need to save as much money as you can for wings and beer.  Frugal Dad, along with his wife, have been kind enough to post some tips for back to school shopping.Combined with some of my own personal tips, it’s sure to be a dollar saver!

Theresa Waste less food by taking more trips to the grocery store, but buy less. Plan fresh meals ahead, buy what you need when you need it. Also, frequent local markets for great deals!
