I can has things to look forward to?
Greetings from the Big Apple!
I’ve been trying my best to stay out of trouble (stores) but I’m partially failing. I’m sticking to the bargains though, I promise. I would never let you down!
Anyways, I’m going to do things a little differently today. Instead of giving you a list of things to do, I’m going to tell you how to look for sweet & cheap events in your area! Next week I’ll continue with the list but this week I’m turning you all into deal diggers and event seekers. SHAZAAM!
So here are the places to look for things to look forward to on the interwebs:

September is a little over a month away but let’s not think about that. There’s still a lot of summer left to enjoy!
Here’s some fun cheapness to take advantage of this week:
Movie Night! —If you’re out east, head over to the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk on the 31st for an outdoor screening of Harold And Maude. It’s shown on an inflatable screen, how cool is that! Admission is only $5.
Festival Of The Caribbean—Toronto’s 42nd Caribana festival is upon us this weekend. There will be a ton of free events, unique vendors and a really awesome parade. The festival brings over 1 million participants into the city making it a tried and true Toronto tradition.

Hey folks!
This is going to be a busy week. Hopefully mister sun sticks around so we can enjoy it that much more!
Here’s what there is to look forward to this week:
Halifax Pride—Get your rainbow gear together because there are plenty of fabulous and frugal Pride events going on until the 26th. Free art shows, cheap concerts, drink deals, and a picnic, what more can you ask for?
Fancy-Free Fashion—I mentioned this event last week but may I remind you that Toronto is the new home to Frugal Fashion Week. Check out the thriftiest and trendiest fashion event of the summer!

Llamas: The ultimate joy ride
Happy “Things to look forward to” Day! Although we should look forward to things every day, we’re making it official every Monday. I mentioned last week that we needed to stay optimistic even when things aren’t going our way. I know I sound like something out of a Disney film (a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down?) but give it a try. The mouse might be right.
To help you out a little, I rounded up the coolest, and most awesome events, deals, and other cheap goodness that’ll keep you out of (financial) trouble this week.
