The word on the street is that the recession has its hands in the pants of cheaters everywhere, and it’s now officially (I consider anything “official” when it’s posted on Anderson Cooper’s blog) too expensive to stray. Too bad, since it’s also become too expensive for your partner to find out about it. The news from hotels, private investigators and divorce lawyers is all bad. Or good. Depending on how much of a skank you are. Cheaters can’t afford the expensive hotel rooms and fancy dinners. Cheat-ees no longer have the extra $2500/day kicking around to cover the cost of a private investigator. Unhappy couples are sticking it out, since it’s cheaper to stay together than to split up.
