Worth Every Penny

Worth Every Penny

I buy books. Lots of books. So many books in fact, that at this point, I will probably have to make it a full time job just to read them all. I think I’m more of a bibliophile than a reader, but slowly improving–that is to say, I’m making the effort to try and actually read everything I have. Why do I do it? I don’t know; maybe there is some security in knowing that if I ever need to identify one of the many species of birds in North America, I can because I have the book; or if I decide at some point to delve into the secret mysteries of the Qabalah (or Cabala), I can, because again, I have the book. The recession has slowed me down a little bit, but not a whole lot. I’m averaging a book a week. I probably need help.

Bag, pencils, ruler, calculator...You can only take two...make your choice.

Bonjour!

So you know school is back when you see those Staples commercials. You know what ones I’m talking about: “It’s the most wonderful time of the year!” And although they’re aimed at elementary and high school students, we college kids love getting ready for back to school too. We don’t need our parents anymore, we can go shop ourselves!

Yes back to school shopping is essential but it’s easy to lose money so I’m going to give you my own do’s and don’ts and some great sites/blogs that offer the same advice.

Bored? Yes, Bored.

August 18th, 2009 by Thaddeus

boredSo I am a person who can never seem to think of something to do.  I am constantly bored because well I’m young, everything sucks, is boring and all I want to do is chill right? Well being bored gets boring after a while. Does that even make sense? Whatever.  So I went through some magazines, watched some commercials, did some research on the Internet and found there were a lot of things to do but all had the same common problem.  They cost money. But wait, thanks to Heather Scheiwe, a college student, I have found 21 ways to have fun for absolutely free.  Here are some of my favorites.

Some Books For Your Looks

August 3rd, 2009 by Lucas
Don't just browse and blog...Read!

Don't just browse and blog...Read!

Bonjour!

As you all know, I’m an author. When I was 17, I started writing a book about the life of a teenager and continued writing until my first couple years in university. I honestly got to about 60 pages until I abandoned the endeavour I knew I would never complete. So I guess that doesn’t make me an author at all. (more…)
