14 years ago, almost to the day, I listened to ‘Pretty Hate Machine’ and decided that music was something I wanted to do with my life. I was a little late getting into the band, but it would become more of a soundtrack to my life rather than just another addition to my small collection at the time. Years later, when I was working at a factory packaging textbooks to be shipped out to schools, the album that got me through the bus ride would be Soundgarden’s ‘Badmotorfinger‘, but I would always come back to PHM and subsequent albums as my drug of choice.
Movies like ‘The Lost Boys’ and ‘The Crow’ entered the picture and I found myself becoming somewhat of a creature of the night, with a love for amusement parks at night to go along with the music that I felt expressed things that could only be achieved through sound and image. In short, this video is a bit of an homage to some of those little things that are important to me, but what about you? What’s your story?
I think music has the undisputed power to create memories that are unique and personal to us all. I’d love to hear some of yours.

Best. Concert. Ever.
Best money I ever spent. I love the magic of a good fair at night - all the lights and rides and screams of delight; the smell of cotton candy and roasted corn….. I’ve been going to the CNE ever since I was a wee lass, and I still get the same little kid awe to this day.
V-Fest was totally bitchin’! NIN was definitely the best part. Can’t wait ’til next year!
