Happy last week of August!

Okay, not happy at all. At least summer is only officially over in a couple weeks but when September rolls around, it always feels like the season has come to an end. There’s no use in being a sad panda though, there’s tons to look forward to in the upcoming months; heck, there’s a lot to look forward to this week!

Fresh Wednesdays—Local produce and live music! Check out the farmers’ market at Nathan Phillips Square and stick around for a performance by Dirty Dishes.

Fringe Benefits—West Coasters, Victoria’s Fringe Fest is here from the 27th until Sept 6th! See some cheap and awesome theatre! If you’re free for a couple hours next week, you can volunteer for the event entitling you to free shows and party invites!

This is Jeopardy!—Halifax’s The Coast mag has a list of drinking establishments you can go to for trivia nights. It sounds nerdy but don’t tell me you’re not counting down the days until Jeopardy is back on the air. Just me? Fine. Go anyways, and take notes from the masters.

Local Wears—The last Sunday of every month brings Portobello fashion markets to urban hotspots around Canada including Vancouver, Calgary (Portobello West), and Toronto (Portobello East). This is the ideal place to find affordable and unique items created by local designers.

Virgin Festival Ontario–SO EXCITED!!!!!!
