Bonjour!

As you all know, I’m an author. When I was 17, I started writing a book about the life of a teenager and continued writing until my first couple years in university. I honestly got to about 60 pages until I abandoned the endeavour I knew I would never complete. So I guess that doesn’t make me an author at all.

As you all know, I also love making lists. Okay, that’s not true at all. But after looking back into my literary past and being inspired by Romi’s popular use of lists, I decided to combine the two and research books that have been written on money. So for all you folks who like reading and saving, this post is for you. Stop by your bookstore/library and see what awaits you!

397 Ways to Spend Money by Kerry K. Taylor, 2009. Brilliant. Taylor separates the book in four sections including big decisions, home management, room by room and more ways to save. You can skim through this book online at: http://browseinside.harpercollins.ca/index.aspx?isbn13=9781554685837 and it’s also published here in Toronto so it’s got a little locality to it.

Living Rich by Spending Smart: How to Get More of What You Really Want, Gregory Karp, 2008. There are hundreds of books on saving money, but this one has been appreciated not only by readers but other best-selling authors.

The Total Money Makeover, Dave Ramsey, 2007. Let’s see: Debuted # 1 on the Wall Street Journal for Hardcore Business, #6 New York Times Bestsellers List, #2 Barnes and Noble Top 10 Everything for Personal Finance and Investing.

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Personal Finance in your 20s and 30s by Sarah Young Fisher and Susan Shelly, 2002. Another in the family of “The Complete Idiot’s Guide,” this book covers a wide range of subjects.

How to Save Money Every Day by Ellie Kay, 2001. Title says it all doesn’t it.

So there are 5 solid books and I hope you actually do take the time to have a look at some of them. I suggest Taylor’s book myself.
Also read my book “Sexy Genius: The Autobiographical Tale of Me with Contributors by Smart People Who Know Me” due out in 2020.
